With heavy hearts and solemn emotions, the loved ones of Deacon Frank Nivens are preparing to say “so long” to a special link to their family’s chain and are being assisted with this difficult task by the Weaver & Peaks Memorial Funeral Care. Mr. Nivens went down to the ticketing office on September 10, 2023 and the train conductor Jesus Christ issued him a boarding pass bound for life in Paradise.
On Monday, September 18, 2023, Loving “Farewell” events will take place beginning with moments of visitation, between the hour of 11am and 12noon in the sanctuary of Bell Yeager Freewill Baptist Church in Durham, N.C. A Service of Remembrance will come forth at 12noon also in Bell Yeager Freewill Baptist Church. Although Mr. Nivens closed the drapes on this daily walk called life, those whom he loved and loved him can find solace knowing he has walked into the Garden of Rest, where everyday is as peaceful and beautiful as a bright Sunday morning and the sunlight brightens the day from the rays of our Heavenly Father.
As a member of Bill Yeager Free Will Baptist Church, he served on the Deacon board, enjoyed singing in the Male choir and several clubs. He also enjoyed watching soap operas, westerns and driving the church van. It was his passion to serves the leadership of the church, it members and riding with his longtime friend Deacon Paul Morgan.
Is survived by his daughters Bevelary Ashe (Taylor) Juanetha Thompson (Edward Earl); Taulleto Rodriguez ( Rumaldo); Evanglist Bonita Smith-Henderson (Sidney); Elder Waldo Rogers (Lisa ). Grandchildren; Vander Jr, Antonio, Lyana, Sada, Tarek,Sr, Danila, Tiffani Paris, Alexis, Roger II, Darryl II, Swannatha, Ezekiel, Katelan, Takeua, Charlie, Christin and a host of Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and his sister Elease Nivens Porter and extended family Anthony Sanford, Johnnie McGill and Charles Goodman.
