Nicosia Marshall Breeden Obituary

The sun rose at the birth of Ms. Nicosia Marshall Breeden (nee Marshall) on May 26, 1979, in Durham, North Carolina. She was born to Shearl Marshall and Anthony Davis (deceased).

Nicosia completed high school at Durham Technical Community College. In 2018, she earned her B.A. in Psychology from North Carolina Central University and was 1 semester away from earning her Ph.D.

For more than 25 years, Nicosia has served as an experienced Medical Technician/CNA and was entrusted to provide quality healthcare services within the RTP health care industry.  She was an avid Duke Basketball fan, loved table games, and to read books.

While Nicosia worked hard every day as a health professional, she never lost sight of what was most important in her life –her family. Nicosia loved all of her family! She was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She was absolutely loved being a grandmother! Outside of her family, Nicosia was a loving friend, close confidant to many, and to whomever she encountered. Whether it was a friend in need or a co-worker with a problem or just a listening ear, Nicosia was always there for someone. She reaffirmed her faith as a born-again believer in Christ and was a member of The City Ministries of Durham.

On Friday, October 19, 2023, the sun set for Nicosia Marshall Breeden at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC.  Nicosia leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Benjamin J. Page, and Grandchildren: Kaiya Monae Page and Kaz’Mere Le’Shawn Page of Durham, NC; her mother, Shearl  Marshall; her older sister, Jenee A. Jiggetts (nee Marshall) and children: Lavada, Terry, Joezetta and Ron, Jr.; her older brother, Jaime Marshall; her younger brother, Jeremy Robinson, and his son Jeremy Jr.; and her younger sister, Stacie Davis, and her son Anthony. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, co-workers, church family, other relatives, and loving friends. Nicosia was preceded in death by infant son, Dominique, her father, Anthony Davis, her aunts, Beatrice Levette and Dorothy Marcia Marshall and grandmothers, Maggie Beatrice Marshall (nee Hairston) and Ora Hairston (nee Schoefield).
