Veronica Lavern Cates Amde

Veronica Lavern Cates Amde, was born to Rosa M. Cates and James L. Clayton on March 30, 1966, in Durham County, N.C.  She was raised by her Uncle and Aunt Earl & Mary Woods of Hillsborough, N.C.

She departed from this earthy life on October 14, 2023.  Veronica graduated from Orange High School, Hillsborough, N.C. Veronica was certified as a Nursing Assistant, Med. Technician and Traffic controller with the DMV for the State of North Carolina.  

Veronica was a loving person that loved to play softball and she loved to dance.  She leaves to cherish her memory her Fiancé Steve Charles of Durham, N.C.  Her son, Jeffrey A. Royster of Hillsborough, N.C.  Seven brothers, Earl D. Woods (Carolyn) of the home, Lash Woods (Linda) of Las Vegas, Russell Woods of Durham, N.C., Melvin Woods (Ava) of Graham, N.C., Otto Woods of the home, Roosevelt Cates of Durham, N.C., Jamie Woods of Washington, D.C.  Four sisters, Minister Sharkita Torain (Ronnie) of Hurdle Mills, Theresa Woods of Hillsborough, N.C., Cheryl Alston of Pittsboro, N.C. Audrey Woods of Durham, N.C.  Special Cousin Artis Swann of Chapel Hill, N.C. Play Sisters  Jennifer Thompson of Efland, N.C., Amy Edwards of Mebane, N.C., Ava Johnson of Hillsborough, N.C.  Uncle Graham Cates Jr. of Prospect Hill, N.C. Uncle Thomas Weeks of Hillsborough, N.C.  and a Host of Nieces and Nephew and family and friends.  

Proceeded her in Death was her Maternal Mother Rosa M. Cates, Husband Kevin Amde, two sons Da Vinci Amde, Tesla Amde, Uncle & Aunt Earl & Mary Woods.
